First Aid and CPR AED Training Certification Classes
This program is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Participants will practice First-Aid and CPR and learn how to use several different Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Additionally students will learn how to properly use disposable gloves, CPR masks and breathing barriers. In addition to CPR students will learn how to treat cuts, bruises, bone and muscle injuries, shock, bleeding and other first aid emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a 2 year certification card.

American Heart Association First Aid teaches first responders to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive. This course provides training on first aid, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. (Two year certification issued upon successful completion)
American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid with CPR & AEDaddresses managing illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include first aid basics, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. Additionally, CPR and use of an AED on children from birth to eight years of age is covered. Emergency Care and Safety Institute Bloodborne Pathogens BBP class includes information that will help students understand risks of exposure and how to reduce them for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.10.0) (One year certification issued upon successful completion)
